Position Announcement:

Faculty Member in Political Science, National Chengchi University (NCCU), Taipei, Taiwan

The Department of Political Science at National Chengchi University (NCCU), located in Taipei, Taiwan, invites applications for an open rank faculty position in the fields of "Comparative Politics" or "Empirical Political Theory," with a particular preference for candidates whose work focuses on topics of "Technology and Politics," "Political Economy," or "American Politics." We are also interested in scholars with strong expertise in other relevant topics.

Qualifications:

1. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and research experiences.

2. A strong record of academic publications beyond the dissertation is required.

Proposed Date of Hire: August 1, 2025.

Required Documents:

1. Curriculum Vitae, including an autobiography, a list of publications, and a list of courses planned to teach.
2. Syllabuses for courses to be taught.
3. A photocopy of the Ph.D. diploma/certificate. For applicants who have not yet completed the Ph.D., a letter confirming course completion and certifying an imminent oral examination by May 31, 2025, is required.
4. Transcripts from graduate schools.
5. The doctoral dissertation (or draft) and up to five additional publications.
6. Two letters of recommendation from academic scholars, written in either English or Chinese.

Selection Process:

Candidates who pass the preliminary review may be invited to attend an online or on-campus interview and deliver a presentation.
